The most successful national team in the sport will arrive in Budapest as the current world champions: the Canadians will be invited to the MVM Dome for their final World Cup preparation match.

On 9 May 2023, the MVM Dome hosted the most-watched home game of all time for the Hungarian ice hockey team. The meeting between Canada and Hungary, who are preparing for the World Group A Championship, was officially watched by 14 756 spectators, and that number could be about to change!

Yes, Canada is visiting Hungary again. The winners of last year's World Cup are bringing their NHL stars to Budapest to play their final pre-season game with the Hungarian national team before the World Cup in the Czech Republic from 10-26 May 2024.

Our team will have already visited the Division 1/A World Championships in Bolzano by then, but they will have a huge opportunity to finish the season against the best in the sport. Both the Canadian FA and the players praised last year's event, had a great time and were, of course, enchanted by the hockey love of the Hungarian crowd - something they can now experience again.

As last year, we will be offering additional activities and games for fans before and during the match.
