Hungarikum Kavalkád on the big stage of Hungarian culture!
We are excited to announce that on April 20, 2025, the noblest values of Hungarian culture will converge at the year's most extraordinary concert, ushering in a new era for Hungarian musical traditions. The Hungarikum Kavalkád, conceived by Maneszes Márton, is inspired by the captivating "RULE OF THREE." This concert uniquely blends the genres of Hungarian folk song, operetta, and, most notably, Gypsy music, as three outstanding singers and the world-renowned 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra present Hungary's musical heritage in a contemporary light, while preserving its traditional essence. In an unprecedented manner, it brings together three iconic pillars of Hungarian culture to reinterpret and pass them on to future generations.
Performers at the concert:
- Maneszes Márton, a singer of Transylvanian origin, is passionately committed to representing Hungarian cultural values. "Never before have all three Hungarikum genres been featured on the same stage at the same time. We are creating a unique event that began in Cluj-Napoca, unfolded in Hungary, and is soon set to conquer the world."
- Fischl Mónika, a Liszt Ferenc Award-winning Hungarian actress, singer, and prima donna, a celebrated artist of the Budapest Operetta Theatre, brings a fresh perspective to the world of operetta.
- Sándor Csaba, a guest artist at the Kolozsvár State Hungarian Opera and the Budapest Opera House, whose refined style and heartfelt performances are sure to captivate the audience.
- The legendary 100-Member Gypsy Orchestra, an authentic representative of Hungarian musical traditions, provides the musical backdrop. Their virtuoso playing, dynamic performances, and captivating melodies have rightly made the ensemble an iconic figure in Hungarian culture. They are the world's largest Gypsy orchestra. They received the Hungarian Heritage Award in 2000 and were included in the Guinness Book of World Records in the same year. The orchestra has released 27 CDs and 5 DVDs since its inception, including 5 platinum and 9 gold records.
The Hungarikum Kavalkád is more than just a concert. It is a cultural mission aimed at preserving and promoting Hungary's musical heritage, showcasing the richness and timeless beauty of Hungarian culture.
